About

Built by one person. Shaped by the people it's for.

Rallykin is made by Forrest — a product designer, not a startup. There's no growth team, no investors pushing for engagement metrics, and no plan to sell your family's hardest moments to advertisers. There's one person building a tool carefully, and a community of caregivers telling him what to build next.

Why this exists

Caring for someone is really three jobs. There's the coordination, who's driving to the appointment, who picked up the prescription. There's the isolation, needing to talk to someone who actually understands. And there's the maze of insurance, respite care, FMLA paperwork, all of it undocumented and different in every state.

Most tools do just one thing. So families have to duct tape a group text, a Facebook group, and a shared calendar together, and the coordination still lands on one person. Rallykin's idea is that these three jobs belong in one place:

  • Care Circles for the coordination
  • the Community for the isolation
  • and Resources for the maze

I watched my mom do this work. When my grandmother's dementia progressed, my mom took care of her, and eventually made the hard call to move her into a nursing home. Then she kept showing up: regular visits, the foods her mother liked, stories about how the family was doing. She did it on the days my grandmother knew exactly who she was, and on the days she didn't. My mom has since passed away, and I think often about how much of what she did was invisible, the coordinating, the deciding, the showing up. Rallykin is for the people doing that work right now.

How it's funded

Free means free.

Coordinating care and joining the community cost nothing, forever. No trial clock, no feature wall on the essentials.

Supporters fund the work.

A small group pays $7/month because they want this to exist. They get a badge, a direct line, and a vote — not a better product than everyone else.

No ads, no data sales.

Your circle's conversations are not a product. We don't run ads, we don't sell data, and we don't train AI on your family's updates.

How it gets built

Rallykin ships in small, careful pieces. Supporters vote on what comes next, and anyone can write in — the person answering is the person who builds it. If something is broken or missing, say so: forrest@rallykin.com, or the contact page.

See if it helps.

Start a Care Circle for your family, or just read what other caregivers are saying in the community. Both are free.
