The details that matter

The first thing you see isn't a forum feed or a notifications inbox. It's the three or four things that actually need you before bed — pulled from across every circle you're in.
A vent post doesn't need a thumbs-up. It needs "holding you." A celebration doesn't need "acknowledged." Our reactions change based on what kind of post you're responding to.
Some things are hard to say under your real name. Anonymous posting protects your identity from other users — replies and reactions still reach you, and moderators can still help.
